Remembering Keith Kelly
Ketih, who passed away in April 2024, was a great supporter of the Club and a racing eight was named in his honour.

Very sadly, in April 2024, whilst I was writing this book, the Brookes Director of Sport, Keith Kelly, passed away after suffering from a brain tumour. He was a consistent supporter of Richard Spratley and the boat club and contributed much to the success of recent years. He first worked at Brookes in 1997, was also an international basketball player with Wales, and became Director of Sport in 2008. He was only in his late forties and was highly respected and liked at Brookes. ‘One of the nicest guys I’ve ever had the pleasure of knowing’ was a typical comment on Instagram when the news was announced.
